But, when you see the words “produced by Guillermo Del Toro” appear on screen, you’ll never forget it. This kinda came out of nowhere for you guys, huh? Well, amongst the bigger blockbusters and the indie dramas, sometimes some smaller films may get lost in the fold. MADHERO: One of my most anticipated films this year….speaking of MOST ANTICIPATED FILM OF 2020 MADHERO: DUNE The jury is still out on if it will work…is it gonna be Inception, or Intesterllar? Only time will tell, my children. STICKMAN: I mean we knew Nolan was fucking with time but it was a fun moment. Just…the way it was edited, the timing of it, the complete and utter mystery.

MADHERO: Larry picked the one trailer who’s movie isn’t out yet, and while I’m always going to be curious about the next Nolan joint, that trailer intrigued me even more with its Braid style timey wimey nonsense LARRY: Whatever trailer house A24 goes to…well done. STICKMAN: It’s a microcosm of the real thing…much like Cats was, but in a good way this time. MADHERO: Who doesn’t want to see some bear guts for a split second But what’s scarier than cats? Swedish culture? Europe? According to the UK it is. We really had two huge wonderful trainwreck trailer moments last year. We all came together in one holy voice and said!!!!!….”eh yeah that looks better, movie still ain’t gonna be good tho” LARRY: That should definitely get an honorable mention. MADHERO: Well it was the biggest dud because Sonic managed to rebound with its 2nd trailer, because otherwise we’d have had to deal with that until its November release

The movie is scarier, but then also more boring. STICKMAN: Cats was certainly the biggest trailer out of these three…and that’s not a good thing for Universal. LARRY: It was certainly…an event of a trailer. I feel that was the trailer that had us come together as a nation and just laugh at the whole thing, because we all knew it was a bad idea and it turned out so much worse MADHERO: Onward to the Heaviside Layer or whatever.

LARRY: Yeah, Mad was the jellicle choice and we weren’t. We’ve all lived very different lives this year. STICKMAN: Backwards fighting, Swedish horrors and…cosmic nightmare cats. TENET cannot come soon enough, but hey, at least we got a trailer to satisfy us until then. Memento to pull the wool over all of our eyes. I mean, time travel is pretty rad, but real-time time travel? That’s pretty insane, but leave it to Mr. The real draw of this trailer, aside from how it gives us juuuuust enough plot to get us intrigued, is the stunning time travel reveal in its final moments, showcasing that this reportedly $200 million romp from the mind of Christopher Nolan is sure to be one of his most ambitious yet, and this comes off the heels of friggen DUNKIRK and INTERSTELLAR.

Obviously the cast looks excellent, with John David Washington getting some time to shine alongside indie darling Robert Pattinson. A late contender for best of the year but certainly a deserving one, TENET is definitely one of my most anticipated films of the year and the trailer rightfully heightened that hype to crazy proportions.
